About

I’m a digital copywriter.

I’m a content strategist, UX writer, and all-around word guy living in Portland, Oregon.

When writing for screens, I strive to bring clarity, brevity, and empathy to every interaction. And as a strategist, I create content systems that are built to handle the demands of dynamic delivery and personalization.

I have deep experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional teams—especially ones where disciplinary boundaries are fluid. (I’ll gladly take copy notes from a designer and pressure-test wireframes.)

In a previous life, I was an art critic, covering Portland’s art scene in local and national publications. I was the recipient of a grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation for that coverage and also spent three years teaching in Portland State University’s MFA in Contemporary Art Practices program.

I live in SW Portland with my family and The Best Dog Ever, Frances. When I’m not too tired from parenting, I record music with friends, (try to) write fiction, and read.

Be warned: I am a Dodger fan.
